Shaman

A shaman is someone who works with the unseen. The term is actually from Siberia but now has common use.  
All shamans:

• Sort what is yours from what is not yours. 
• Work with you to gain insight, knowledge, direction
• Work to move things from your ancestral line out of your present
• Work to remove no longer needed attachments from past relationships
• Work to give you tools so you do not make any new unwanted attachments
• Help you retrieve what is energetically yours and return that which is not to it's rightful owner or place
• Help you gain clarity and loose fear
• Help you find which animal spirit may have a message for you at this time as well as those you have an affinity with
• Teach you how to maintain a clean spiritual space
• Work with the cycles of life

Certain images and words go with cultural geography. So, a North American shaman may speak of eagle whereas one from South America may talk of condor, etc. 

I have studied with shamans from several cultures. I do my best to avoid cultural appropriation.

Energy Medicine

​This is as good a place as any to put energy medicine. That can be another way of describing many aspects of shamanism.
All cultures and religions have some form of hands on healing going back as far as we can track. As Western medicine (allopathic) gains more technology they tell us the pathways by which the energy travels. That's terrific. The rest we need to talk to quantum physics people. It's stuff like quantum entanglement. 

I use energy most often in shaman work, but also in coaching.
Here it is often Reiki, Jin Shin Jyutsu, various forms of clearing or correcting the flow of energy , stones, crystals, fire, sound.
